Backendless GeoService supports a great variety of features for working with geopoints.
There are also several approaches to search for data developing with Backendless (review related topics for more detailed information on this issue).
This topic highlights the feature of data – the cross-category search using Backendless console.
This search approach allows a developer an SQL-based queries across multiple categories.
It is trivially simple to enable such a search following the next steps:
- Login to Backendless console, select an app and click the Geolocation icon.
- Click the Cross-category search toggle in the upper right corner of the user interface.
- Backendless console hides the geocategories and now you can enter an SQL query to search for data.
Assuming the sample geolocation data has been added, enter the following query:
city in ('AUSTIN', 'DALLAS')
4.The Console finds all geopoints which satisfy the query and displays them in both data table and the map.
The data table also shows the category each geopoint belongs to.
