Migrating app's backend from one environment to another

Backendless provides a very advanced facility for backend migration between the environments. 

Consider the following interface:

The environment/version deployment interface is available on the Versioning screen. 

In order get to the deployment interface a developer should come through the following stages:

  1. Login to Backendless console, select an app  and click the Manage icon.
  2. Click the Deploy button for the version/environment you would like to deploy.

The Backendless interface provides two collections: 

  1. Assets to deploy (settings, business logic scripts, data objects, users, etc).
  2. Permissions for any selected assets. 

As a developer has an opportunity to select various assets and permissions, the interface also enables conflict resolution policies. 

A conflict may arise if an asset, for example, a geopoint has already existed in the target version. In this case, a developer have to make a selection what should happen: ignore the asset, overwrite it in the target environment or stop and rollback.
