Missing (or unfinded) info in the business logic doc

When builing custom business logic code, me as user, was unable to find what was the best way to access generic data or tables not related with an specific event. For instance, in a custom event, no object with data is retrieved in the callback, so if you want to do some task like calculation based on different tables/data you need to retrieve somehow those objects.

I've tried, and it works: BackendlessCollection<TestUsers> users = Backendless.Persistence.of(TestUsers.class).find();for instance. The issues are several. First, I don't know if I'm using the correct approach to access this data. Because these are the functions that I use from my Android code, so it's hard to know if this function make a call to the cloud, when there's no need because the code is being executed already there.

Second, I don't know either if these kind of calls count as API calls since they're not made from the network.

Could you throw some light over this? Thank you very much.

Hi Jose,

The API we offer is available uniformly, that is you can use the Android/Java SDK in your Java business logic, just like you can use the JS SDK in the JS business logic. Any API request you make with the SDK or any REST API request will count as API calls, because that's what they are..

Hope this helps.

Mark
