Password reset not working - production app - urgent

My app is n Uber for snow shoveling concept and the northeast US is about to get hit by a major snowstorm so I need this addressed ASAP.

It seems the password reset has stopped working for my app. The email with the reset link is sent correctly and when I update the password using the link it says the change is successful but when I try to log in to the app i get an error. I see others have had issues like this but didn't see the resolution.

My app is Backendless 3 and is on the Cloud 99 plan(see screenshot). I'm guessing the issue is related to V 3/4 changes but given I'm on the cloud 99 plan I assume I should be fine. Please update me ASAP as I have a large number of users submitting complaints about password resets. This is the first time many are logging into the app since last winter so there are a lot of forgotten passwords people want to get reset.

Thanks,

Chris

Chris,

I was able to reproduce the error. As a temporary workaround until it is fixed, you could try changing the password recovery strategy to one where a password is sent to the user: http://take.ms/R4eAc

At least this will let your users log into the app.

I am escalating this issue so it is fixed asap.

Mark

Quick update... I switched recovery strategies as suggested.

I tested it and worked fine with my own ID, the password was reset to a random string and I could login. But if I try to reset the password again for the same user i get an error.

When you say "for the same user", did you mean resetting password twice?

Sorry, disregard my last comment, it was user error.

The random password generation is working for now, but would be great to have the other issue fixed.
