I’ve been currently looking at migration my current Parse (Android) applications over to the Backendless service. I don’t quickly see functionality in the applications settings to turn on/off client creation of classes. Is there a setting that I’ve missed?
Do you mean creation of new tables for the objects being saved?
For the new tables and columns in existing tables.
Currently there is no automatic way to disable it. It can be enforced through custom business logic by creating a beforeCreate event handler. In the event handler you would check if the table exists by using this API. If the table is not there, your event handler would throw an exception and thus would stop the request processing.
Any plans on making this change in the future without going down the custom business logic solution?
It is possible, however, I would like to understand the use-case when this would be useful. Could you please elaborate on your scenario?
