Different File Names returned from Files API

Greetings,
I am trying to delete a file but the file path returned is different from that sitting in the file server
returned

https://api.backendless.com/......./...../files/media/filename

file name in server

https://develop.backendless.com/......../console/hlmomqolgqcworzxfcybzbhepezghchdkraa/files/view/media/filename

hence am getting a File or Directory cannot be found error.

Both urls lead me to the same image in a browser.

Regards,
George

Hi George,

Every file in Backendless has two URLs: public and private. The first one you showed is public, the other one is private. This is described in the documentation:
https://backendless.com/docs/rest/doc.html#getting-public-url-for-a-file

Thanks Mark,

Please save me from opening another problem ticket.

Is

Backendless.Data.of(BackendlessUser.class).deleteRelation(user, relationColumnName, relationCollection, AsyncCallback<Integer> responder);

meant to just break off the existing relationship between data objects or is it meant to expunge the child object as you would achieve by calling remove with

IDataStore<BackendlessUser> iDataStore = Backendless.Data.of(BackendlessUser.class);
iDataStore.remove(user, AsyncCallback<BackendlessUser> responder)

to delete an actual data object?

George

It will simply break the relationship. it will not delete the object.

p.s. please open a new topic for any new question in the future. Thanks!
