Uploads to the file service using the Android API properly set the ‘Publisher’ field when uploading a file. Files uploaded through iOS API are listed as ‘Anonymous’.
Before you ask yes I was logged in with a valid user first on iOS.

We’ve been investigating this issue and found that the same functionality is not working using Android API. Could you please try it again using Android API and tell us about the result?
Also if the publisher will be set correctly, please share your testing code.

This problem with ‘upload’ metod of UserService class is fixed in iOS SDK.
You can take the fixed lib from github - https://github.com/Backendless/ios-SDK/blob/master/SDK/lib/backendless/backendless.a
