Logging file isn't displayed in console

I can use the REST API for Logging to add entries to the logging successfully. When I go to the console nothing is displayed.

Yes, There is often a 2 - 10 minute delay before the log entries are written to the log file

This may be because logs write to file asynchronously. What log policy do you use?
