Hi.
I’m interested in usage of Media Streams. But can’t understand how exactly does it works. So basically question is about number of concurent audio and video streams. So, if i’ve got for example 500 streams plan, that means that one person can make live-stream and 499 view at the same time?
Just trying to plan resourses for streaming application and understand can i make with backendless.
Also, can i somehow order more then 1000 Media Streams?
Thaks.
Hi Kirill,
Yes, we count media stream both ways - up and down. The numbers on our pricing page are not physical limits creating sliders which work with infinity would mess up the UI. The system automatically adds overages when they occur.

Ok. Thak for answer. But still got one question. Can your system handle like 100000 users at for exaple 10-15 streams? And what will be the price, $4 per 10 streams ?
Thanks.
Stream allocation is done in your app. We do not map streams to users. When a user in your app starts publishing a video or audio - that’s one stream. When someone else subscribes to play the video or audio, that’s another stream.
Can our system handle 10000 users? Definitely, yes.
The cost for extra streams is $4 per 10 concurrent streams.

Hi
is there a time limit on the live streams? ie could someone stream for 2-3 hours? also does this count as 1 stream even if someone streams for 2-3 hours?
also here just an example
1 person streams a video and 101 are watching. when using the free package you get 2 free “streams” which means you would need to pay for 100 at $0.40 per stream which would be $40. is this correct?
Thanks and keep up the good work
Chris
