Hey Guys,
sorry if this is the wrong place to post a support request. Did not find any other.
Could you please move our hosting to the EU and if possible rename our app?
From “Pottcheck_v1” to “Potthub” (don’t worry, not about weed or porn. Pott is exhaust in german its about motorcycles).
We would be happy to assist. There is a $150 fee to cover engineer’s time. The process takes about 3-4 hours. Application ID and API keys won’t change, however the api endpoint will change from api.backendless.com to eu-api.backendless.com
Hi Mark,
thanks for you instant replay - as always.
That’s great. I’ll insert our payment details and reply here when done. Do we need to stop working in backendless for the time of transition?
Sounds good, please let us know when there is a card registered with the app. You are correct, while the migration is in progress, do not make any changes to the database, files, directories, security permissions, etc.
Our apis are still working. But we have to change the url to eu-api right? Anything else to do?
UPDATE:
So far iam not very happy with the eu hosting. The database appears very slow in the backend! We just have very few (max 20) items in each table. But it still loads for several seconds or minutes. Some times it says “no conection”.
Is there a general problem with backendless right now or went something wrong here?
@Torben_Murach one more thing. Can you provide more details about the “speed” problem?
What SDK(or codeless) are you using?
Example of request, where you see losing of performance between EU/US hosting zone?
Is it always slow or at random times?
We use restApi.But so far we did not test the speed there as we have to change the api request in a lot of places.
The speed problem occurs in the backendless backend. When I click on a table the two arrows in a circle appear. And it loads and loads. Some times for minutes. That’s especially odd as we just have very few test items (around 20) in those tables.
