I built this app more than a year ago. Was working great. Stopped using it altogether. Now reviving it.
Problem is it fails to login. I see new user is created in the table. But the “submit” button is not going anywhere. Used your instagram app as template.
I think the publish function is broken too.
Could you please tell me what is going on?
Please share a link for the login page with sample credentials.

Mark

Click on “Login” on top right. Or scroll to the bottom and create a new user.
You can use Tester/Tester as an existing credential.
Your Login button has no logic behind it, that’s why the login does not work:

The logic is part of the the “Sign-in Panel” Block. Using your instagram app as the prototype.
I have seen this work very well before.
Check if the Login button has the Submit behavior.
Yes. the Submit behavior was not selected. Now it is. But still not taking me past the login window.
When I click on submit, I can see the message “Please Wait” for a moment. This is the correct behavior. But then goes back to login mode. There is logic to capture error message but that is not triggering.
One of the oddest things? You will see a text “Don’t have an account?” at the bottom before “Sign up” link. It is nowhere in the UI Builder. How is it showing up?
Sanjay, as much as we would love to help, debugging your application is outside of our support organization responsibilities.
If you have a specific problem with our API or UI, please let us know. However, the issues you describe are with a specific implementation on top of Backendless. If you need help with it, please consider our consulting services.

Think this is a platform problem because I left it in working condition more than a year ago. But you have gone from a child to manhood in the meantime. What used to work before is not working now. That’s amazing progress at your end. I need to catchup. Keep up the good work.
Platform doesn’t change logic or configuration in your app. The login button had a wrong type, you changed to Submit. It has nothing to do with the platform. Whatever is not working in the logic has something to do with broken logic, not the platform. There are thousands of developers using the system daily, if we had a platform-wide problem like you described, everyone would be running into it.
