We’ve observed in the Backendless Analytics that would api calls are getting capped at 500 apis per min.
We aren’t aware whether there is such a cap on our plan (Scale Variable).
Can you please help us understand the situation and how to fix it? Since when this cap is applicable? When the api calls are capped, are the incoming requests failing with error?

You can access this setting on the Billing page by navigating to:
Manage → Billing Plan.
There, you’ll find the Scale Plan Tier Threshold section.
You can update the Max Tier Threshold value to suit your needs.

We want to update the Max Tier Threshold, however, the Max Tier Threshold dropdown appears disabled (like how it appears in the screenshot you attached). Can you let me know how we can update it?
Secondly, can you tell me approx since when the upper limit is introduced? We need to update your customer accordingly for their information.

The dropdown will be enabled only for the application owner — only the owner can update this setting. So to make changes, please have the owner log in to the application and update the value directly.
As for your second question: to the best of my knowledge, the functionality that limits the upper threshold for Scale billing plans was introduced together with the billing plans themselves. In other words, this setting has always been in place. The value “Max Tier Threshold: Tier 8. Limit 500 requests/minute” is the default.

Turns out the highest tier we can select is Tier 8 even for application owner. Can you help us setting it at higher limit?
In this page (About the Scale Variable Plan | Backendless) we see the tiers goes up till 16.
