I am contacting you regarding unexpectedly high API usage charges on our Backendless application, ONE.
Our application is still in the development and testing phase. It has not been commercially launched, and we do not yet have an active production customer base.
Despite this, our account currently shows approximately USD 1,084.80 in API usage charges, bringing the total to USD 1,099.80, with the next billing date scheduled for November 7, 2026.
We find this amount extremely concerning and disproportionate to our current development and testing activities.
We would appreciate your urgent assistance with the following:
Detailed usage investigation: Please identify the API endpoints, request patterns, and peak activity responsible for these charges.
Billing review: Please review the accumulated charges and consider a waiver, adjustment, or development-stage credit, given that the application has not yet launched.
Billing protection: Please advise whether the upcoming charge can be temporarily placed on hold while the investigation is ongoing.
Cost optimization: Please recommend the most suitable pricing plan and configuration for our application, particularly as we prepare to support customers, merchants, drivers, and real-time order tracking.
We are committed to continuing our development on Backendless, but we need a predictable and commercially sustainable cost structure before launching our platform.
We would appreciate your response before the upcoming billing date.
