Cannot select unput object in a form

Following your 1st walkthrough video building a ToDo list, I added a form to the page and was able to delete all objects in the form but the first input item. Now I’m trying to select the input so I can set it’s properties, but it’s not selectable. when I click anywhere in/on the input, either the page gets selected for the form does. What’s the trick here to select the input?

I found the answer. The video is out of data so the designer behavior is different in the current version. For controls that I cannot select in the designer by clicking on them, click on the hamburger on the right side above the toolbox and it will display an object tree. I can drill down the tree and click on the item I want. now it will be selected so I can view its properties.
