Hi guys,
I have been noodling around a bit and want to continue to do so in the Springboard plan app that I have on the EU cluster. However, I would like to also create a clone of this and have it be a paid app on the Scale plan, still on the EU cluster.
That does not seem to be something that I can do myself. Is it something that you can do for me?
Thanks,
Egil
Hi @Egil_Helland ,
You can achieve this goal by yourself if app does not exceed limits of “Free” plan and does not have any purchases on it (except for Springboard). Otherwise steps below will not work.
Steps in such case will be next:
- Move your app to “Scale” plan from Springboard to enable cloning.
- Clone application.
- Move your app to “Free” plan. At this moment you will be charged for 1 day on Scale plan (in case if you stay on Scale for more time you will be charged for all those days).
- Move from “Free” to “Springboard” plan.

Cool and smart!
Since I have control myself then, I’ll try that when things are a bit more ready. Thanks!
I have done the transition today, @Andriy_Konoz, or at least I have tried to. I have managed to get all the way to step 3, but when I am at step 4, I am not able to move back to Springboard, as there is no Springboard available anymore.
What am I doing wrong?
Hi @Egil_Helland ,
Could you please provide app ID of application which was previously on Springboard?
Regards, Andriy
I sent this to you in private chat
@Egil_Helland ,
It is strange that Springboard is not available for app in which it was unlocked.
I can return your original app to Springboard manualy but before that you should move it to Free plan. Let me know when app is on Free plan and I can move it to Springboard.

Hi agian @Andriy_Konoz
Hmm, I have set this «original» app up with connections to other domains now, but if I understand you correctly I need to:
- Clone the original app once more
- Make changes to the original and the clone so that the clone can take over as the one in production state
- Move the original app to Free
- Delete the clone I already made and which is now blocked in Free mode.
Is that correctly understood?
Now cloning fails for some reason. This is the email I got:
Awaiting further instructions…
@Egil_Helland ,
Could you please try to clone your app one more time? It seems that it was a “one-time” glitch which aborted clonning task.
Regards, Andriy
I am getting the sam error now, @Andriy_Konoz, same email just with an updated time stamp
@Egil_Helland ,
Sorry for inconvenience. It appear to be the problem on the our side. I have created an internal ticket to fix it. Our engineers already working on the solution. We let you know when fix for it will be provided.

Hi @Egil_Helland ,
We adjusted few things on our side. Could you please try to clone your app one more time?
Regards, Andriy
Yay, now it worked!
However, when I try to set it to Free, I get this blocker:
If I have to remove all these, all the pages in here will be completely broken. I would rather not - if you have the possibility of setting this directly back to Springboard somehow now?
Also, I need new certificates created for the custom domains on the new Clone - is that done automatically or do I need to ask for this?
Ok, I will try to move your original app to Springboard right now
@Egil_Helland ,
Your original app with ID 4919877F-4544-2D4B-FF37-CD72374F8E00 was moved back to Springboard.
Also, I need new certificates created for the custom domains on the new Clone - is that done automatically or do I need to ask for this?
Certificates for your custom domains will be added without your participation during 2 working days by our devops team if application billing plan supports them. You need only to add those domains

Thanks a lot for fixing this!
