Codeless UI Builder blocks stuck in lasso / multi-select mode on one machine only

Good day all,

I’m experiencing a strange issue with the UI Builder (Codeless) that appears to be machine-specific.

On my main Windows laptop, I cannot drag or select individual codeless blocks. Any mouse drag immediately behaves like a lasso / multi-select mode, making normal drag-and-drop impossible.

Key points:

  • Works correctly on another PC with the same app and account
  • Happens in Chrome and Edge
  • Happens in Incognito with all extensions disabled
  • Happens with touchpad and multiple different mice
  • Mouse works normally everywhere else — only Backendless UI Builder is affected
  • This started today; no app changes were made

This strongly suggests a local OS / input / driver interaction rather than an application issue, but I’m out of ideas.

Has anyone encountered this before, and if so, what was the fix?

In short, this is a compatibility issue with recent Chromium-based browser versions. As a temporary workaround, using Firefox or rolling back to an earlier Chromium version should resolve the problem.
