Genreal Questions

I am evaluating Backendless for an upcoming development and I have the following questions:

Does Backendless support groups of users? If so can data be shared between these groups? Does Backendless provide support or examples of caching data locally when a network connection isn't available and then syncing the data with Backendless when a connection becomes available? Can I speak with someone about my project to get a better understanding if Backendless would be the right fit?
Thanks, Darren

Hi Darren,

Please see my answers below:

Does Backendless support groups of users? If so can data be shared between these groups?

Backendless supports user roles which are used to enforce security policies application-wide or for specific tables and objects. Multiple users in the same “group” could have the same “role” which would guard access to the specific data and thus would let you accomplish what you’re after.

Does Backendless provide support or examples of caching data locally when a network connection isn't available and then syncing the data with Backendless when a connection becomes available?

We do not have built in support for it, but other developers have discussed in this forum options of using Realm in Android and CoreData in iOS.

Can I speak with someone about my project to get a better understanding if Backendless would be the right fit?

We’d be happy to answer any questions via email off this support. You can contact us at info@backendless.com
