Im a tad confused on what those values should be. I have 3 google cloud entries in for my auth. Can some one help tell me what one is which. I attached a pic. Hopefully some one can point in me in right direction.
Hi Dustin,
Please stick to official documentation https://developers.google.com/identity/sign-in/android/start-integrating
“The Web application type client ID is your backend
server’s OAuth 2.0 client ID.”
Regards, Artur
Here is the problem the lack of docs and what not make it all confusing. If you click on code generation and click google plus log in then click configure it brings you to a screan (capture.png). Yet if you leave them blank and run the example it works. I mean no offense but you answer means nothing cause it answers nothing.
Cause wtf is a google plus ID… I dont see it on the dev console for google cloud. Let alone google plus secret. I mean does it even comprehend to you that maybe just maybe this is some ones first time into cloud based services. From what i see on this support forum is the same generic crap. Yet no answers. I mean i posted a picture of my blocked out keys and you couldnt say… FYI your web client is your google plus ID and to be honest i dont even know if thats it.
“The Web application type client ID is your backend

How hard would it be to say “Web client ID” instead of “Google Plus ID”. Its what html text change and 2 seconds to push the file…
How about a clear answer for some one as dumb as me that its there first time into this type of service what i should put into those fields that are in the Capture.PNG file. I hope you have a answer since it is your service and all and not some generic answer that i have seen here that really answers nothing.
Sorry if I sound like a dick but if I use your service I want to make sure it works and not something weird happens and people cant log.
Dustin,
Backendless is a strange company. I really like the technology but as you have noticed their documentation is lacking and their answers to (free) support questions are not very helpful (they are mostly reference to their poor documentation or samples). These responses can be very frustrating.
I had a similar experience with posting: http://support.backendless.com/t/why-is-the-web-site-so-out-of-date
I have started using stackoverflow exclusively to post questions and problems. Maybe “the community” can do what backendless seems incapable of doing, providing answers questions.
