We’re having repeated request failures on our app used to control our industrial monitoring equipment. It seems the same request is sometimes successful and sometimes fails for no obvious reason.
In both our android and IOS apps, we are doing a simple update of a single boolean records (Public/private). Recently this update is failing about 50% of the time. This is the only error I can isolate so far. How do I diagnose this further?
Video of the failures available here: I think there’s other quiet failures happening in the background as well, but this was a simple one to demonstrate. Once logged in, I’m choosing “public” and “private” alternately so set the value, and seem to get a valid response about half the time.
Please let me know how I can advance this issue. Is there some additional error message I can provide? We have thousands of pieces of equipment that depend on this system that are persisting bad data because they can’t get consistent responses.
I’m also getting a number of errors in the backend when just loading our dashboard.
I apologize for the inconvenience. I have informed our specialists that there is still a problem. We will investigate the issue and report the result as soon as possible.
FYI - my testing suggests things are suddenly working MUCH better. I’ve received zero failures in my recent testing this morning, and responsiveness is much better. Hopefully this is resolved!
It’s great to hear that your issue has been resolved! However, I want to stress the importance of migrating to the latest version of Backendless. As it stands, there are only a few users still on Backendless v3, and unfortunately, we can’t provide quality support for this older version. Upgrading will ensure you have access to the best features and support available. Let me know if you need any help
