Issue with Scale Fixed simulation

Hi again,

I am returning to this ticket because I changed my Scale Fixed plan a few weeks ago, and since then I’m being billed and charged small amounts. The email that says so does not specify what it is and there does not seem to be any list of transaction in the console backend. I suppose these are overages, but there is no info to support that guess.

Plus, I suggest a single monthly payment rather than daily ones, for two reasons : some businesses have to pay their accounting by the number of transactions or invoices, and also some foreign credit cards have fixed commisions being levied on payments abroad. For both these reasons, daily payments of 0.75$ or $1.25 are really a pain.

In any case, I would really need to know what I’m paying for when it’s charged.

Hi Nicolas,

I believe you have configured a daily timer to export your data from Backendless. Whenever you perform an import/export operation or clone your app, Backendless will clear any outstanding balance since the previous billing event. The charges you see are associated with the export operation.

To simplify things, we can process a larger transaction and issue a credit for the same amount. This way, the daily charges will be billed against the credit, resulting in fewer credit card transactions.

Mark

Got that, Mark, thanks for the explanation. Although it is not immediately evident to me why exporting should trigger the billing, indeed if that is the case, then it could explain things.

Best regards,
Nicolas

Unfortunately, some people chose to export their data, and leave without paying their bill. Because of some bad apples, we had to institute that policy.

Mark

Got that, sad indeed.
