It looks like Backendless is having a hard time displaying images for both in-progress and published applications at the moment.
Are you all aware of this issue?
The issue is showing up both in UI-Builder and on already published sites.
(UPDATE: It looks like this issue has cleared up now – it all seems to be working again)
We are glad that everything is fine now.
Could you please describe in more detail what was happening, perhaps some steps on how we can reproduce or any additional information that may help to identify a possible problem?
This issue is ongoing…
Well, like I said – no images were being loaded in either UI-Builder, or on the live apps/websites that we had already published.
The issue seems to be tied to whether or not there’s a currently valid UI-Builder preview session that hasn’t timed out yet.
The images from all of my live sites will disappear when the preview session expires.
If I click the “Desktop Preview” button to start a new session – all of the images show up again.
This problem just appeared today for some reason.
After the UI-Builder preview session expires, I receive the following error when trying to view an image:
“message”: “Developer API Preview Session is not longer valid. Please go to Backendless Dev Console to initiate a new preview session otherwise after refresh the browser page the starts counting API”,
Here is a test link to an image: https://app.webmojo.io/api/files/web/Hyperpixels/images/Hyperpixels-Webflow-Logo.png ← Note that this link is not working in Microsoft Edge.
Note that the location of the file is under the “published” website.
Also note that this problem only seems to be occurring in Microsoft Edge.
Also note that this issue only appears on my development computer! Very interesting.
(UPDATE: It issue seems to have been caused by a bad Backendless Cookie. Clearing cookies fixed the problem!)
We are sorry for the inconvenience. We are aware of the issue, the internal ticket for it - BKNDLSS-34336. Our team will look into it as soon as possible. Once the issue is solved, we will let you know.
Could we please have an update on the solution to this problem?
we are testing the fix for the issue. It will be released soon. As workaround, you can just press open preview page, and the cookie will be updated and everything will works for you
We’ve just updated cloud servers with a fix for the issue you described above. Could you kindly let us know whether fix works for you well?
Yes, it works a little too well.
It’s fine with me, but Mark might care that the preview sessions aren’t timing out anymore
I can still view a preview session from last night with no problems!
What browser are you using?
Microsoft Edge Version: 118.0.2088.76 (Official build) (64-bit).
But I’m also able to view an old preview session on Google Chrome too.
But that’s okay, you don’t need to worry about fixing this!
For new preview sessions, everything works as expected.
