I’d like to develop applications for the marketplace but stipe is not available in south africa.Is there any alternative ways of getting paid?

We would love you to contribute your creations to the Backendless Marketplace. It is a shame Stripe does not operate in SA. We may be able to arrange a transfer of proceeds through PayPal. Would that be an option for you?

Yes that would be perfect, I already have a Paypal account
