URGENT: received email Backendless File storage - limit exceeded

Hi Team,

We’ve received an email with subject “SOAP_Licensing: Backendless File storage - limit exceeded”, suggesting to act on it within 48hours.

Maximum value allowed by the current plan: 10240
Current value: 35237

I am not very familiar with how Backendless works, so i need help in resolving this. Following are some questions i have, but most important is to rectify the situation.

  • Is allowed value a count of files or some unit of storage like KB, MB etc?
  • We haven’t performed any activities in backendless lately, i wonder how current value has suddenly increased to 3.5x the allowed
  • Can you help me identify largest chunk of data?
  • I see there are some folders with kind of timestamp at the end in folder “root/servercode/js”
  • I am not sure which files are safe to remove and which aren’t. Some guidelines on that would be helpful.
  • Is there are away to identify number of files contained in the folder recursively?

Looking forward to your response. Thanks!

Best regards,
Kinjal

Hello, @Kinjal_Desai

In your app, the logs take up 35 GB and they are from 2019, maybe you need to delete the old ones that you don’t need? Logs located in logging directory.

Hi @Marian_Koreniuk ,
Thanks for pointing that out, we’ll remove the logs.

Best regards,
Kinjal
