When adding a user is the Email property required? I have Require Email Confirmation set with the default of Off.
It is required only if it is marked as such in your configuration on the Users > User Properties screen.
The User Properties screen show the email property as required. Not sure how to remove this.
Just click the checkbox to remove the selection.
I ended up having to select another user property(name) and then the I was able to uncheck the Identity/Required selection for the email property.
If a property (email or any other) is marked as “identity”, then it is also required. You cannot deselect “required” for an identity property. That explains why you had to move identity elsewhere and with that “required” was also released.
